This weekend the 1st Round of the Portuguese 1/8 Off-road Nationals took place on the same track as the Open round, with the same winner and the same domination of XRAY, being the most used platform in this race. Many good things can be told about this track, but all of that isn't enough to describe this track, awesome facilities, awesome club staff and again this time round awesome Portuguese weather. 38 drivers attended to give this event the perfect atmosphere.
Miguel Matias went on to grab the TQ, and transform it in the semifinal into n.1 for the Main, the always fast Bruno Coelho qualified 4th followed by Tiago Aguiar in 5th this was the fast XRAY trio in qualifying. After the semis this trio passed easily into the A-main and followed by Nuno Rebelo and Rodrigo LuĂs.
Main final was dominated by the XRAY duo Miguel Matias and Bruno Coelho, both sharing the lead along the 45 min final to end up with a difference of just one lap in advantage to Miguel Matias. Nuno Rebelo finished 7th with a little problem in the end, Rodrigo LuĂs fought hard to finish 8th and Tiago Aguiar who had a great qualifying pace ended up on the 11th spot.
